چکیده

Abstract Geofluid identification from seismic data are crucial for understanding reservoir characteristics. However, fluid indicators based on elastic parameter combinations show strong ambiguity in terms of geofluid identification. Although the effective pore-fluid bulk modulus proves to be superior indicator discrimination, it is limited empirical models such as critical porosity model. The consolidation model can evaluate and compaction sediments widely used due its better applicability. Therefore, a novel considering proposed boundary-constrained inversion strategy developed. First, defined poroelasticity theory. Then, linearized AVA (amplitude variation with angle) approximation equation related new derived directly link properties pore-filling materials. analysis verifies accuracy at moderate incident angles, which prediction by pre-stack inversion. Furthermore, contribution each attribute reflectivity analyzed validate feasibility Finally, method presented enhance robustness results parameter. reliability improved proved accurate synthetic records. After determining using well-log combined BGT (Biot–Gassmann Theory), field further demonstrated that approach effective.

Joint inversion of AVA data for elastic parameters by bootstrapping

A joint inversion method is developed to estimate the elastic constants of two elastic, homogeneous, isotropic media separated by a flat horizontal boundary. The method jointly uses P and S-converted wave reflection amplitude-versusangle (AVA) data and seeks the Poisson’s ratios of each layer, ratios of the densities and bulk modulus of the layers. The generalized linear inversion (GLI) method ...

Displacement Parameter Inversion for a Novel Electromagnetic Underground Displacement Sensor

Underground displacement monitoring is an effective method to explore deep into rock and soil masses for execution of subsurface displacement measurements. It is not only an important means of geological hazards prediction and forecasting, but also a forefront, hot and sophisticated subject in current geological disaster monitoring. In previous research, the authors had designed a novel electro...

Some remarks on nonlinear AVA inversion in anisotropic media

A feasibility study for inverting reflection coefficients for a single-interface model consisting of a shale overlying a fractured sand is presented. To characterize the medium contact from Amplitude Versus scattering Angles (AVA) behavior associated with the reflection from a particular interface, in view of the anisotropy, wide-angle scattering data are required. However, wide-angle scatterin...

Inversion for multiple parameter classes

Many geophysical data, such as the frequencies of the free oscillations of the Earth, depend on more than one type of model parameter. For inverse problems depending on multiple parameter classes, an iterative solution procedure is introduced in which each parameter class can be treated in the same way. This approach has considerable advantages where a large number of parameters are employed, b...

Automatic estimation of regularization parameter by active constraint balancing method for 3D inversion of gravity data

Gravity data inversion is one of the important steps in the interpretation of practical gravity data. The inversion result can be obtained by minimization of the Tikhonov objective function. The determination of an optimal regularization parameter is highly important in the gravity data inversion. In this work, an attempt was made to use the active constrain balancing (ACB) method to select the...
